Health and Vaccinations

  • All cats must be fully vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Cat Flu. To meet the legal requirement and safety and wellbeing of our guests, a valid certificate of vaccination must be presented well in advance of admission.  This can be done electronically, via email to lindacathotel@outlook.com or via WhatsApp to 07952 840703.  The certificate must show the name of the cat the vaccination relates to.
  • Please note we reserve the right to refuse the admission of any guest showing signs of ill health.
  • All cats should be treated for fleas and worms prior to admission with a vet approved product. If over the counter products are used they should be approved by your vet as some products are not providing sufficient protection due to fleas becoming resistant.  If fleas or worms are found, appropriate treatment will be administered and charged accordingly.  Should this action be deemed necessary we will contact you to notify you in advance of any treatments given.
  • We are unable to accept un-neutered male cats over six months of age.
  • In the unlikely event your cat should require veterinary treatment during their stay with us, we will endeavour to contact you first to keep you updated and attempt to contact your own vet. If this is not possible, our local vet is on hand for any emergencies 24 hrs a day.  All examinations, investigations and treatments will be at the owner’s expense and payable at the time of collection. We will administer any medication that the vet considers advisable.
  • Whilst every care will be taken during our guests stay, Durham Cat Hotel cannot be held liable for the illness, injury or death of any animal in their care.
  • We will contact you or a person authorised by you, should we have any concerns during your cat’s stay and we therefore require a contact telephone number for the duration of your cat’s stay.
  • Public liability insurance is provided although it is always advisable that cats are individually insured by their owners.
  • Medication/injections are administered and charged at £1 per item.

 

Room Rates, Updates & Check-in and Check-out

  • Our rates are per room and include one cat – any other cats from the same household are charged at £6 per cat per day.
  • We enjoy updating you on your cat/s holiday and will endeavour to send you updates and photographs every other day.

The Library – £15 per day

The Music Room – £18 per day

The Penthouse – £20 per day

The Snug – £20 per day 

  • The room rate is a daily rate. Specific pick up and drop off times are by arrangement with Durham Cat Hotel – we try to be as flexible as possible and can accommodate times by arrangement between the hours of 10am and 10pm.

 

Payment and Cancellation Policy

  • Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer.
  • A non-refundable deposit of £30 is due at the time of booking.  The balance is due on/before arrival. If the deposit is not received immediately the room may be offered to someone else. The remainder is due before or when your cat is checked in please.
  • We require 28 days’ notice in the event of a cancellation.  If we are notified outside of this period, the full balance will be required unless we are able to offer the stay to another client where a partial refund will be offered at our discretion.
